We were very enthusiastic to attend the November Chai session which was a discussion around the Third Biennial New England Women's Policy Conference. We were very happy to learn that our concern over nannies and single mothers’ child care issues, which hinder our employment prospects was very well received at the conference. The impact of Lyft and Uber on taxi drivers and their families was also raised by SAWC under the Policy Solutions for Low-Wage Workers. We also discussed the issue of Asian Americans as the model minority, and South Asians generally considered to belong to higher socioeconomic statuses. In this regard, we emphasized the importance of Collaborative' being inclusive of SAWC. We came to know the importance of doing collaborative work with all the other workers center and the other similar social justice
organization.
